Is it possible to
control scorpions?
Absolutely! Through the use of proper pesticide mixtures and placement, it is possible to control scorpions and their food source. Also by utilizing manual exclusion and sanitation techniques it is possible to greatly reduce future infestations.
Scorpions live on an average 3-5 years, they are more difficult to
control due to nocturnal and nomadic hunting patterns. Their hard exoskeleton takes
longer for pesticides to penetrate (generally 3-5 days after
contact).
How long before I stop
seeing bugs inside my house?
Usually 10 - 14 days after a
treatment is when you will start to notice a reduction in pest
activity.
In heavy infestation cases, several
services may be required before you will see the desired effect
What is your service
guarantee?
We guarantee that if bugs come back in between your service cycles, we will too, at no additional charge. We guarantee control of all crawling insects; EXCEPT wood destroying organisms i.e.: termites, carpenter ants, etc
How
often should I have pest control done at my home?
Generally this will depend on the customer and their pest tolerance level. If one dead bug is one too many, then we would recommend a monthly service. In our experience an every other month service is sufficient to control most insect problems
Are
there things that I as a home owner can do to help reduce pests in
and around my home?
You bet. Here are a few things we recommend to our customers.
· Trim all trees and shrubs away from the home, this will reduce potential pathways to the roof and eave areas.
·
Skin palm trees
· Keep grass cut short and reduce excessive watering
· Do not stack fire wood against the house
· Get yellow “bug” lights for exterior patio and entry areas or avoid leaving these lights on during the night, possibly try motion sensor lights
· Be sure weather stripping and screens are fitted properly around windows and doors
