            Ants can be found all over Arizona and are a real nuisance, stings and bites can be painful and some people have shown allergic reactions to their bites and stings.

Cockroaches

            There are approximately 3500 species of cockroaches world wide, the major ones we may deal with in Arizona are the American Cockroach, Oriental, German and Turkistan cockroaches.  Most species prefer to forage outdoors and can be found in dark, moist areas such as; valve boxes, expansion joints and under large rock formations.  German cockroaches will breed inside the home and can multiply very quickly. Crickets

Spiders

            There are many species of spiders, some are ground hunters such as the Wolf Spider and actively hunt their food.  Some such as the Orb spider create elaborate webs to trap their food.  Removing webs helps to discourage spider activity around eaves and windows.  Black widow spiders are well distinguished by their red hour glass shape on their abdomens and their bites can be painful and dangerous.
